Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance grounded

Our precious Dorset & Somerset AIr Ambulance service has been suspended as it is one of a model there may be issues with according to a report by the BBC today. There are concerns over cracks in the rotor blades; not good.

Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance
With so many accidents on the roads in these wet conditions, it is very worrying and shows how much we rely on this service which is afterall, a charity. Just today there was a lorry that turned over on the Southfield Roundabout and a two vehicle collision on the A358.
Unfortunately it looks like there are several air ambulances across the country that use the same model, but luck for us Wiltshire are still flying theirs and will come our way if necessary.

Phew, glad they're back. Thanks for your answer, it seems it was a substitute chopper because it didn't have the normal yellow livery but no-one was quite sure.

ReportNo Somerset only has one , that's odd according to the BBC report they were all cleared to fly again this morning (Wednesday)at 7am... perhaps they did Somerset's first then. The engineers must have worked very quickly to get all of them checked.

ReportI'm a bit confused about this story, the Somerset one was scrambled this morning to an accident in Wells. So was this before the grounding or does Somerset have more than one?
