A Wiltshire man is dancing his way to Taunton today as part of his epic mission to dance 1,222 miles from John O'Groats to Lands' End.

Former teacher Ben Hammond has become a popular figure at festivals and events in the last couple of years, dancing around Glastonbury and WOMAD festivals to raise awareness of oppression and poverty in Burma.

The 34-year-old danced all the way from Bradford on Avon to Glastonbury yesterday, and today he is dancing his way along the roads of Somerset to get to Taunton.

Ben is dancing in aid of Dance Britain for Burma and has 277 more miles to dance. He aims to reach Land's End in a fortnight.

You can support Ben's danceathon by visiting the Dance Britain website, where you can see Ben's exact location, choose a track for his mp3 playlist and register to join him on his dancing quest.

You can also tweet Ben a message of support @dancebritain and add your photo to the Dance Britain photo wall on Facebook.

Dance Britain for Burma is a fundraising and awareness-raising campaign dedicated to opening young people's eyes to the poor standards of living in Burma.

To donate £5 to Ben's cause you can text DANCE to 70007.

So Taunton people be on the lookout today. If you see Ben and have something to share, post your pictures or comment below.
