Victoria, Vivary and French Weir park have all received the Green Flag award which rewards green spaces across the country for being well maintained and well managed.
The Mayor of Taunton, Councillor Terry Hall, spent the morning walking from park to park raising majestic green flags in celebration of these awards.
Terry Hall said: "It is honour for Taunton Deane and it is really great to have all these parks bestowed with the Green Flag award.
"There are many support groups who work hard to keep these parks well maintained and attractive including Friends of Vivary Park which I, myself am a member of.
"It just goes to show that our community has a great interest in preserving such wonderful open spaces.
"The flags are certainly a fitting tribute.
He added: "Friends of Vivary Park and Friends of French Weir are always looking for people to volunteer and help out."
The flags will continue to fly high in Taunton for the next year so go along and take a look and stay proud of your local open spaces.
