Kidnapped Cow's Adventure Continues

A COW kidnapped by the Somerset Young Farmers Club is continuing her adventure visiting top attractions in the South West.

Cara the cow was abducted from Puxton Park, near Weston-super-Mare, by the young farmers, to promote the Somerset Young Farmers County Show, on May 19.

Now the community are urged to get involved by guessing Cara's pictured location each week to win tickets for the show, at Stepstones Farm, Langford.

Cara has already visited several top attractions and the Young Farmers have snapped her at her next location.

Rally chairman, Ed Redman, said: "We are very grateful to Derek Mead, who has kindly agreed to be our main sponsor and has also let us cownap Cara for getting involved in our show.

"As our theme is the Moolympics we wanted our symbol, the lovely Cara Cow to visit Somerset and spread the word that it's the place to be Saturday May 19.

 "We would like all of Somerset to get behind us too, so we are running a competition to win a family ticket to the big day.

"Each week up until the show we are going to release an image to newspapers of where Cara's big adventure took her.

"Email her location to cara@somersetyfc.org.uk by the Sunday of the week you see her, and you will be in the draw to win a family ticket to the day. She will keep mooving around so make sure you keep a look out!"

Activities at the rally will include cow polo, tug of war, triathlon and chariot racing, stock judging and handicraft competitions, with many of categories from cakes shaped like Olympic rings to building replica Olympic touches.

Evening entertainment will be staged by the AloudSounds DJs 'moo-bile disco' and the 18 Stone 'sumo wrestling' Pig band headlining the main stage.
