A vigil for the whole Taunton communty to pay their respects to those who died on the M5 last Friday night, has had to be restricted to those who worked at the scene and personal invitation only.

This was due to the vast number likely to shoe up, creating another possible safety risk.

Members of the public can listen to the service which will be held at 8pm tomorrow, Friday 11th November, on 10Radio or BBC Somerset.

The vigil is being hosted by Taunton  chiurches at Hankridge Retail Park beside the M5 on Friday this week. Church and civic leaders will thank the emergency services and care workers. The Archdeacon of Taunton will offer a prayer for all those affected by the tragedy and a period of silence will be observed at 8.25 pm. The Salvation Army will provide musical accompaniment with floral tributes on the bank beneath the motorway by kind permission of Sainsburys.

M5 Join the vigil, Taunton people and anyone else who would like to be involved are being asked to share the two minute silence at 8.25pm on Friday 11th wherever they are; for the seven who died on the motorway last week. I think this is a lovely gesture of solidarity and I hope will comfort the families in their grief. I will be lighting a candle.
