Man killed in Taunton M5 crash named as Daniel Gunn from Tiverton

A man who died in Saturday morning's crash on the M5 motorway near Taunton has been named locally as Daniel Gunn, from Tiverton.

He was involved in the incident at 6.13am on the southbound side of the M5 between junctions 25 and 26.
Avon and Somerset Police said the two casualties were taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton with life-threatening injuries.
The southbound carriageway of the motorway was closed between junction 25 at Taunton and junction 26 at Wellington for more than six hours while police dealt with the aftermath of the incident.
Sergeant Jim Whatley said: "This is a serious incident in which a young man has tragically lost his life.
"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who was using the motorway network at this time who may have witnessed this collision."
Diversions through Taunton via the A38 were in operation throughout the closure and the motorway reopened shortly before 1pm.
