A man was left suffering from hypothermia after falling into a river in Taunton last night.
Emergency service crews from Taunton and a special rescue team from Exeter were called to the riverside in Canal Road shortly after 7pm after receiving reports that a man had fallen in to the water.
Rescuers used throw lines and an extension ladder to rescue the man, who was suffering from hypothermia and was treated by an ambulance crew also in attendance.

Perhaps the dolt who wrote this meant hypOthermia. HypERthermia is overheating resulting from loss of body temperature regulation.
