The event was organised on Facebook by Jake's sister, Sonya Brawn, as a tribute to Jake's character and love of biking.
Those riding today have said that the weather will be of no consequence during the ride-out. It will happen no matter how hard the rain beats down.
On August 14 Jake's life was taken from him when his motorcycle collided with a tree on Blagdon Hill.
The ride-out will cost £2 to attend. All money collected will go towards a charity in Jake's memory. The group will be meeting at 6:30 this evening at Halfords, Taunton and riding all the way to Minehead.
Jake's friend of two years, James Clark, will be collecting for the chosen charity by selling wristbands for £1 each before and after the event. The wristbands will say 'RIP Jake Brawn 1993 -2012'.
James spoke previously about his good friend:
"Biking wasn't just a hobby for him, it was a lifestyle. He always wanted to go for a ride and it's a shame he never got to live out his fantasy of drag racing up Santa Pod [Raceway in Northamptonshire] on a bike."
"He was someone you just couldn't get mad at and could always cheer you up no matter what the situation."
A massive total of 181 people have confirmed on Facebook that they will be attending the ride-out.
The family understand that not everyone who wants to come along has a motorbike and say that anyone who wants to can follow the bikes in their cars if they wish:
"Everyone is welcome even if they didn't have the chance to meet Jake because bikes were his life and the more money we can raise for him the better."
"A few of us will be going to the Waggon Pub in Priorswood afterwards and everyone's welcome."
