A local family-run day nursery has been shortlisted for two awards at the upcoming national Nursery Management Today (NMT) Nursery awards.
Mama Bear's Day Nursery and Pre-School in Wellington Road, Taunton, has been shortlisted for the Training and Development award while its regional manager Kerry Sturmey has been nominated for the Regional Manager Award.
The shortlist announcement comes after Kerry won another prestigious award last month when she was named Regional Manager of the Year at the Nursery World Awards.
Mama Bear's Day Nursery and Pre-School director Tony Driffield said: "It is a testament to the way we run our business and the work we put into providing the very best childcare for local families that we have been shortlisted once again for national awards.
"We are dedicated to offering outstanding care and early education to the children we look after. Our aim is to make the transition between nursery and school as easy as possible and support children in such a way that they are confident and happy when they leave us for primary school.
"We are also committed to offering affordable and flexible services to busy-working families. We've all got our fingers crossed that the judges will recognise the Mama Bear's ethos and passion at the awards."
Mama Bear's Day Nursery is a family-run business founded in 2002. The Day Nurseries are aimed at providing children with their first vital level of education to give them a head-start when they start at primary school.
Winners of the NMT Nursery Awards 2013 will be presented with their trophies by Austin Healey at the high profile Gala Night held on Saturday 30th November at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel in London, attended by 600 guests.
