Pedestrian seriously injured after Taunton bus collision

A man is in critical condition at Frenchay Hospital after he was in collision with a Taunton bus yesterday afternoon.

The man was rushed from Musgrove to Frenchay Hospital with serious head injuries
At around 5.40pm on January 9, the man, in his 30s, was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital before being transferred to Frenchay Hospital with serious head injuries, police have said.
.A spokesman for the bus company First said: "We can confirm that there was an incident on Wednesday evening in Taunton, whereby a Service 25 bus en route to Wiveliscombe, was in collision with a male pedestrian.
"The exact cause of the collision is not yet clear, but this will be investigated, with our team cooperating fully with the police enquiry.
"The bus was in service at the time and was carrying a number of passengers.
"No one on board the bus was injured though and all the passengers were transferred to other services enabling them to complete their onward journeys.
"Our thoughts are currently with the friends and family of the man involved, who we understand is still in hospital."
