Taunton Academy Launches Charity CD

It's official, the Taunton Academy Singers and Realm played in Taunton High Street this evening to launch their CD to raise money for Stand Against Violence.

The CD has four tracks ,including the title song SAVED which was performed live tonight. There is also a  track -16 Years Young- by Darren Hodge a 16 year old guitarist from the Taunton Academy who won solo guitarist in the under 18 category at the Taunton Music Festival.

Darren kicked off the CD launch this evening with some fantastic bluegrass style finger skills.He also gave an interesting twist to a Christmas tune and Michael Jackson number as well as his own music.

SAVED was written by.James Trusson and Andrew Maxwell. The vocals are by James Trusson,Holly Salter,EllieCox,Lily Prosser-Powell,Darren,Hodge,

Guitars-James Trusson & Andrew Maxwell,Drums Craig Connet,Keyboards Huw Weston.

It was recorded at Taunton Academy by Wesley Williams and remastered by NickBrace the the Actiontrack studios. 

Whatever your musical taste,please support these fantastic young

people who are doing so much for others.

Stand Against Violence was started by Adam Four acre in memory of his brother Lloyd who was stabbed to death in Taunton,for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

SAV educates young people against violent action,through workshops and performance,going into schools and colleges,This  is an  extremely worth while charity which is growing every day.

 SAVED will be on itunes for downloading and the CD is on sale for £2 at Mr Miles tea shop in the High  Street,Bodyshop,O2  and Perkin Warbeck
