Taunton School celebrates A level results

Congratulations to TauntonSchool, over a fifth of grades awarded in this year's A levels were at A* level as students celebrated another year of fine results. This included some excellent results in the International Baccalaureate, and was better than twice the national average.

Headmaster, Dr John Newton said: "Including our very good IB results earlier n the summer, we have achieved 71% A* to B with nearly 85% scoring C grade and above. I am delighted with such a set of high grades and even more pleased that just about all our students will take up high quality university places.
It has been a year of high achievement in all areas of school life and
these results display the impressive standards of our academic
provision".
Earlier in the summer, Taunton School comfortably beat the world average for International Baccalaureate results with an average of 33 points, compared with 30 points globally.
