Taunton students get a taste of college

Nearly 300 students from schools  in and around Taunton and Bridgwater descended on Somerset College in Taunton for fun and learning at their Summer School recently.

They tried everything from computer games and construction to fine art and catering, over three to five days.

Tim Yeandle, Director of Student Services at Somerset College said: "It was non-stop activity and we know from experience the school students not only have a great time but get a sound sense of what the courses can offer them,"

The schools involved included Bishop Fox's Community School, The Castle School, Kingsmead Community School, Heathfield Community School and Haygrove School, Bridgwater.
