The paralympic torch will be at Sainsbury's in Chard on Saturday 6 October from 09.30—11.30.  You can have your photo taken with the torch for a donation to the Rosie Crane Trust.  This unique opportunity has been arranged by Dean, the manger of Sainsbury's, to support the trust which is their chosen Charity of the Year.  Come and join us for this exciting event, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

The trust supports bereaved parents through a confidential 'listening ear' service where trained, volunteer bereaved parents answer the phone to other parents who need someone to talk to.  We also have two drop in centres, one on the first Saturday in the month at South Street Centre, 20 South Street, Yeovil, BA20 1QE, the other on the third Saturday in the month at The Albemarle Centre, Albemarle Road, Taunton, TA1 1BA, where bereaved parents can meet informally and talk to others who have similar experiences to them in a safe, confidential environment.  Both drop-in centres run from 10.30 - 12.30.  Subsidised counselling may also be considered and we run a befriending service

The staff at Sainsbury's have been organizing their own events to raise funds for the trust and help to raise awareness of the services the trust provides.  Recently Chard Football Club packed bags at the tills and donated the money raised to the trust.  The staff have also donated items for our tombola at the Summer Fête and Birds of Prey Event and the lucky dip we held at Street Space, Chard.  We are very grateful to all the staff for their valued support
