More cannabis seized in Taunton

Taunton area pot smokers will have a leaner Christmas this year, after Police seized cannabis plants and other drugs from an address in St Augustine Street on Thursday December 8th.

A daylight raid on the property, just before 4.30pm, resulted in the seizure of eight cannabis plants, cannabis, a large amount of money and a number of items believed to be stolen. Police also found white powder and tablets which have been taken for forensic testing.

A man and woman, aged 27 and 30 and both from Taunton, have been arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis, being concerned in the supply of controlled substances and handing stolen goods. They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
