Elections 2011 The fight for Taunton Deane

As Taunton people head for the polls from 7am today,which party will dominate the Borough and parishes by the end of the week?

With a  major redevelopment scheme in full swing and tough times ahead will the new council carry on building bridges or fall in the river?

As the county town of Somerset Taunton has 26 Borough wards and 42 parishes .

Will the balance of power in the Borough Council change? The previous party representations were ;

Conservative 26,Lib Dem 25,others 4 and Labour 1.

 With  such  a large amount of ballot papers  to collect in the count for Taunton Deane’s Borough and parish elections take place at the Blackbrook Pavilion on Friday May 6th, starting at about 10am.

The declaration is not expected until at about 1.30pm for the 56 Borough Council seats.
