Fire crews were called to rescue a pigeon stuck in netting on a roof in Taunton High Street this morning
One fire appliance from Taunton was called after members of the public reported a seagull stuck in netting on a three storey high roof this morning.
At around 11.55am crews located the seagull and attempted to rescue it by gaining access to the roof with a ladder.
This proved too difficult so crews tried to gain access via a roof space in a nearby property. This attempt was also unsuccessful.
After two failed attempts, crews went back to the station to get their hydraulic platform, and third time lucky, they rescued the seagull.
