Over the last 6 months I have been researching a number of areas associated with parenting teenagers, and I will be covering all the following topics on the workshop:
    • Understanding the teenage brain – this has been fascinating and I think it will help parents understand why teenagers behave the way they do.
    • Building self-esteem – I can now give parents a number of practical ways to build their teenagers self-esteem. I will also summarise the different areas which together form the foundation of self-esteem and what parents can do which will definitely make a difference.
    • Secrets to managing behaviour – again, I focus on practical alternatives for managing behaviour and will provide straightforward and practical suggestions which I know work.
    • How teenagers learn (including how to cope with homework, revision and exams) – I wish I had known this when my girls were going through their GCSEs, sometimes I think parents feel lost when it comes to homework, revision and exams, hopefully the information I have will make a difference.
    • Managing stress – teenage mental health is a huge issue (I know…!), again I focus on practical and straightforward advice to help parents supporting their teenagers

I have thoroughly enjoyed doing the research and have focused on using this information to provide practical and straightforward solutions for parents of teenagers and I think you will find it both fascinating and helpful for whatever stage your pre-teens/teenagers are at.

I have already piloted a shortened version of this workshop for colleagues at work and those who have attended would definitely recommend it! A mother of 4 sent me an email a couple of weeks after the course saying:

"Good news already – after attending your brilliant "Resilient Teenagers" session, I am revelling in responsive teenagers that have been in hiding for years……can't thank you enough for giving us the tools and time to think about the simple things……..long may it last!"

The cost of the workshop is £45 per person or £75 or 2 adults including lunch, refreshments and information pack, with a 10% discount if you book before 10 January.
