Aquatic Volunteer  Colin Ware, of Tiverton, has been celebrated for his voluntary work at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.

Colin, who works full time, travels into Taunton twice a month to look after the hospital aquaria.  He has been doing this for 29 years, but unfortunately is now having to step down.

Volunteer Coordinator Jeni Clark said:"Colin has done a simply fantastic job looking after the fish tanks at Musgrove.  Although we only have one left now the children, staff and families on the Children’s Unit very much value it.  His commitment to the hospital is an inspiration to us.”

Colin said :“I have always enjoyed this job and will be sad to leave it.  I know that fish can have a soothing and relaxing effect on people and it is good that the Children’s Unit continues to have a tank”.

If there is anyone who would like to help with this task now Colin has stood down, they should contact Jeni on 01823 343447.
