Grey skies make us all feel a bit low this time of year and all the news is depressing, but there are ways to cheer yourself up. The last of the sales are still going on with some stores offering up to 70% off and others like Hatchers who are still holding back on the VAT rise.

January Sales Taunton
Dr China in Fore Street has a great offer on massage if you can get there on a weekday, half an hour for only £10.
A good laugh is another way to fight the blues, take some mates or the family, or someone else's kids and go to the pantomime at the Brewhouse , you cannot take a panto seriously on any level and I guarantee it will lighten you up.
I have always found dancing a good way to lighten the soul, Koko on the bridge which appears to have gone though yet another incarnation into Okoko ,for over 20's and is only £4 on a Friday night. The Scrumper is doing a good deal on meals if you want to treat yourself.
Alternativley,go and buy a good book at Brendon's,a cheap movie or game from Pink Planet if that's your thing and something naughty from the Barry the Baker and curl up for a bit of indulgence.
