This was her third listing in the race which has been going since 2007, last year taking category first for female 40+ with 47:32.
The race standard has improved though as she was the first lady in 2008 with only 51:03.
The Combe 10K is very popular, with an average of 80-100 runners and about the same for the fun run.
It attracts runners from far afield, this year's first lady was from the Chepstow Harriers and the first two guys overall were brothers from Bristol Running Club.
It was thought a clash with the Bath half marathon might have caused a slight drop in numbers this year or perhaps the rising price of petrol kept some of the more distant runners away.
It is a very steep course in places and Combe is pretty windy but the scenery is spectacular and the last two years have seen dry weather on the day.
I didn't get chance to ask Sally of she will be in the Taunton 10K on April 3rd, she had a time of 44:30 last year.
Personally I get tired just watching these people who run, but I have great admiration for them. I was never good at distance, more of a sprinter but my knees are no good anymore. I had to be satisfied with enjoying the elation of everyone else, and a very tasty hotdog to keep out the cold.
Here's some feedback from other past runners
