Unbeatable service

We need more shops like this! Absolutely second-to-none customer service and really unique stock along with all the standard electrical and domestic stuff. They sell nice gifts and clothes, particuarly for the more mature customer who is increasingly not catered for in most places. Keep up the good work!

Hatchers is an independent, family run department store that was established as a drapery shop back in 1775. Hatchers is conveniently situated on Taunton's High Street with an entrance into the Orchard shopping centre and easy parking close by in either the High Street, Paul Street or Crescent car parks.
We continue to develop our product offer to bring you the best possible 'value for money' we can from a broad range of top quality, banded suppliers.
Younger, more casual fashion brands such as:
Weird Fish, Lazy Jacks and Braintree Hemp compliment our more established LADIESWEAR brands such as:
Alex & Co, Dash, Eastex, Jacques Vert, and Precis.
We are pleased to welcome Padders to the store with their Shoe Department, which is a new venture for 2012, as is ladies workwear brand Autonomy whth their fantastic range of well priced business wear.

    Hatchers are Excellent. Loved the £1 breakfast over Christmas.

       

    Ken at DMA took all his team to Hatchers for a special Christmas breakfast. We had change from a £5 note!!
    Awaiting more Hatchers special deals.

    Good old fashions department store

       

    Everything under one roof! It is a great one stop shop for all occasions and the staff are very welcoming and actually look like they want to be there to help (unlike allot of shop assistants!).

    Great department store

       

    Hatchers of Taunton in the High Street is a great department store selling a huge assortment of products, from electrical goods to clothes. As an independent department store it offers a far more personal service than the big corporate chains, with a real understanding of the community and its needs.

    I have to say I really enjoyed my flapjack at Hatchers, I love them and am always amazed how much such a simple thing can vary in taste and quality. I didn't hold great hopes but I needed a sit down and didn't fancy anything else to eat that day and was pleasantly surprised.
